 ▪ संकटाचे संकेत देणे = to spell doom
Big jaws of the crocodile spell doom for antelopes crossing the river. मगरीचे मोठमोठे जबडे म्हणजे नदी पार करणाऱ्या काळवीटांसाठी धोक्याची सूचनाच. 

 ▪ च्या हाती सोपवणे = to concede to
The king conceded the kingdom to the prince and he headed for the forest. राजाने राज्य राजपुत्राकडे सोपवले आणि तो जंगलाकडे चालता झाला.

 ▪ पराभव मान्य करणे = to concede

Ever since I was a child, I moon about swimming with dolphins in the sea. अगदी लहान असल्यापासून डॉल्फीन्सबरोबर समुद्रात पोहण्याची कल्पना मी करत आलेलो आहे.

The deer huddled around me when I brought the stack of grass in my jeep. मी जीपमधून गवताची पेंढी आणताच हरणांनी माझ्याभोवती एकाच घोळका केला.
